Overview
The Daily Grind is a conceptual coffee shop brand developed as part of an Adobe apprenticeship brief. Designed as both a student-facing guide and a complete brand system, the project explores how visual identity can be used to teach structure, consistency, and creative decision-making through real-world application.
Approach
The identity balances modern typography with playful illustration to create an accessible but intentional system. A grounded palette of green, orange, and brown anchors the brand in a familiar coffeehouse feel, while flexible design components were built to help students understand how branding translates across touchpoints.
Impact
The final system functions as both a cohesive brand and an educational tool, giving students a clear, applied framework for navigating a creative brief while demonstrating how personality and structure can coexist in a scalable identity.

Structuring the Brief
This mind map outlines the foundational thinking behind the project, breaking down goals, audience needs, and brand direction. It was used to translate a conceptual prompt into a clear, teachable design system for students.

Designing for Understanding
Beyond branding a concept café, this project explores how visual systems can be used as teaching tools. Every element was designed to help guide decision-making and reinforce clarity within a structured creative brief.
